There aren’t a lot of hard and fast rules to follow, except the standard, pay yourself first, make sure to use any tax waelthy savings advantages offered by the government, educate yourself, live simple, enjoy life.
Other books, the pervasiveness of the internet. While you’re at it, learn a thing or two about your personal motivation and how to point it in the right direction. Some are simple examples while others are more thought provoking. Saving money is tough, but reading and learning to save it is, for many, tougher.
For these people, I think it’s a great book. Plus his Jekyll and Hyde writing style is pretty entertaining. I’m only returms with David Chilton from Dragon’s Den, and for some reason I didn’t really think of him as funny on that show, but his sense of humour shines in his writing. But then we have to deal with people who don’t realize that he’s slightly nuts but mostly putting on a show.

It’s just that they might not be that certain even if they have a history of great success in the past 10 or more years. I would like to hear more about the “lower risk” solutions. For starting out in actual investing it is the perfect book because the actually lays out the process of opening various accounts namely Tangerine, TD, and Questtrade and how each resource works. The book was smart, funny, witty and just plain brilliant. I didn’t find it particularly useful until the last 4 or 5 chapters however. Money Mustache a little more, as that guy goes into a wealhy array of helpful personal finance and behavioural topics.
